What a Wonderful Day! {3-16}

As I was checking in on Facebook this morning (yes, I go to my computer and check on some different things each morning)… I saw a post by a former employee of Chad.  Jesse posted the following on his status update and I immediately stole it…  No pictures to post today.  Just wanted to post this one more place.  I regret that I did not get it posted on the proper day, but each year in March, I will keep this in mind.  Thanks Jesse!

Today is 3/16…a good reminder that God loved the world so much he gave his only Son to save us from sin!! Happy 3/16 everybody!

Dreams in Motion… {3-13}

Miss Sarah was here for Dance Camp again.  We LOVE her.  Olivia can’t stop talking about her and will often wonder if she gets to go to her school.  She now attends preschool so I am never sure what she is referring to until she clears things up and reminds me that she wants to see Miss Sarah.

I snapped one of the whole group and while most people probably had some really awesome pics of their kids, my girls were being goof balls after the dance was done and with my knee completely out of whack… I couldn’t do much about it.  I was just glad I didn’t need someone to help hoist me up off the floor.

Another downfall of the day.  My memory card for the video was full and I missed taping much of what I wanted to tape, but on an upside… I was able to watch a bit more with my eyes and not through a lens.

Memory with Dad {3-12}

For her birthday, Olivia received some card games.  I have no idea who gave them to her… gift opening was chaos.  She and Chad sat down and played a few games of Matching.  I really enjoy watching as Chad and the girls do their little activities.  I just hope they will someday remember having a great time with him.  If nothing else, the moments captured here will help them remember.

Fiesta {3-11}

At the start of this school year, Trevor was concerned about taking Spanish II because it may have an impact on his GPA.  I assured him he would be fine and if he ended up doing really badly, we could just call Guille and pay her to tutor him.  He then said, somewhat perplexed, “Guille speaks Spanish?”

Yes, indeed she does Trevor.  And… she cooks too!
A group of teachers got together to have Guille prepare us some fantastic Mexican food.  Angie Moser planned the whole thing and it was a great time.  Great food and great company.  I can’t wait for the next event… Who’s planning? and it needs to be after the second week in April.

What would you do with this? {3-20}

Well, we have lived in this house since Trevor was in the 4th grade.  He is graduating in May and I think it is time for us to get rid of the Pepto Pink bedroom walls.  I dream of someday not having the carpet, but that is not in the cards right now so, we must work with it.

So… What would you do as far as paint color in this room?  Comments much appreciated!

This is Emma all dressed up with no place to go on a snow day last year I think.

And a not perfect picture of one of the most expensive carpets around.  It is super cushy to the feet, made of wool, and ooooh so pretty.  I am sure Harriet loved it and it is quite pretty, but not easy to decorate around for someone not into decorating.

I had forgotten about these pictures and ran across them the other day.  Here is a chance to see the pepto pink bedroom from a few different angles. Fortunately, I received a handmade quilt that ‘goes’ with the paint and carpet.  But, I am ready to move to a new color… something more of a non-color would even be nice.  The curtains will be going as well.

Additional note… we are not big decorating people, so at this point the walls are still pretty much bare, the curtains are the same as when we moved in, it is sad… really sad.

The shelf in this corner has gone downstairs.  I decided I was tired of looking at it and it is not a very grown up piece of furniture.  The chair stays.  Belonged to my Grandma and if nothing else, I would be willing to recover the pads.

The dog also stays and the little girl in her undies… keeping her too!

And for our other pieces of fancy furniture… The dresser stays (was my Aunt Mary  Jane’s).  TV/VCR combo will be changing to a larger TV but staying on the dresser.

And one last look. The TV she is watching is already out of the room as well.  Has been for quite some time.

A couple of things to add… Well, one thing for sure.  A baby will be making his/her way into this room.  Since we haven’t told the girls all about the arrival at this point, we haven’t made a firm decision on putting a crib in one of their rooms.  I just would rather wait until one of the two decides that it would be cool to share a room with a baby brother or sister.  We have a few hours remaining to keep our secret.  We have been working our way into telling them, but just haven’t quite figured it all out yet.

Time is ticking since we are due the 14th of April.  So… as tax day approaches, so does the arrival of the new infant.  Up for this week… finding a car seat and getting a few things ready.

Up Up and Away…{3-10}

Fun at the city park.  Something Olivia has been asking about for weeks.  We went to play in August of 2009 and I was glad to try some things with my camera. Emma and Olivia both had a blast on the swing that day.  Since we have seen much of Miss Olivia, I’m going to post Emma.  Up Up and Away…
